The key people to get to know for any project are the decision makers and representatives of those most impacted by your plans or construction work.  CEC will get to know these stakeholders in order to help them understand your project, from the local landowner, parish councillor and residents' association chairman, all the way up to the leader of the council  and  the local MP.

Newsletters, websites, and social media are just a few of the tools used by projects to keep in touch with the wider world and CEC have extensive experience in producing this material in the right format for the right audience. We can also become an integrated member of your team during the construction process, handling the full range of engagement  and communications requirements on a short, medium or long term basis.

Whether it is a public meeting  about a housing development, a statutory

consultation for an infrastructure project or preparations for a Development Consent Order, CEC can help. Explaining the project to local people is crucial to getting things done efficiently and effectively.  Taking complex planning and engineering issues and translating them into plain English for the general public is what we do best.

About

Nick Cooper, MA MCIHT AMICE

I started in the engagement and communications world in 2010 following a career in national, regional and local government. Since then I have worked on housing, regeneration and infrastructure projects for planning firms, infrastructure delivery organisations, specialist construction consultants and now as an independent consultant.

Over the years I have delivered engagement and communications on behalf of Costain, National Highways, Fairview New Homes, Network Rail / Crossrail, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Stantec to name just a few.
